Day 10 – GC 2012

General Conference – Day 10 – May 3, 2012

Poster of the Day
One law at a time a wall is built. A piece of good news is that such a wall will eventually over-build and fall of its own accord. We are hopeful some of that over-reach has begun.

Reflections on the Day
It has been quite a day here. The structure piece that was the end-game of all the various sexuality wedge-issues may not be able to stand with defeats of constitutional amendments and a judicial council ruling. We will see.
After an attempt to have a very mild expression of “we are not of one mind” presented by two very large-church pastors was defeated by the typical percentage, there was a mass witness that closed General Conference for several hours. Negotiations were held and resolutions made. We will see tomorrow if the bishops will honor their commitments made or if the technical and parlimentary savvy of the “reform and renewal” group will be able to break it. Here are a couple of pictures of the witness.
